I believe that it is more important to marry someone that you love instead of marrying someone for their money. It will be hard to be satisfied when marrying for money. Plus, you probably wont be happy. "Money can't buy happiness." If you marry someone that you actually love, you will be happy, no matter what. Being happy for my life, would mean more than having problems everyday and worrying about the money situation.

ReplyDeletetaciturn - (adjective) Habitually untalkative pg. 79
I think it is more important to spend the rest of your life with the person you love rather than a person who is rich. Like the saying goes, money can't buy happiness and I agree with it wholeheartedly. I would want to be with someone who cares about me as much as I care about them. In a marriage that is centered around wealth and money, there are many problems and a lot of secrets. The two partners never really get to know each other and love the other for their personality and character. I would definitely have to say that love conquers money.
reprehensible (adjective) - Deserving censure or condemnation- pg. 99
ReplyDeletemanifold (adjective) - many and various - pg. 94
I feel that it is more important to marry for love. Love is something that in Pride & Prejudice is something that someone would stumble upon when they are marrying for money. Money is an earthly belonging. It doesn't really mean anything. You can have the wealthiest couple in the world, but they may be the unhappiest people because they have to spend their time together. Then you may have a homeless couple who love each other more than life itself and seem to make everything work out, even though they don't have any money. So therefore, I would marry for love because it just means so much more.

I think that i love is more important in a relationship because people always say that you cant buy love and that is something that is hard to find. ReplyDeletegallantry - pg.76 - noun - courageous behavior
consign - pg 86 - verb - deliver to a person's custody
I think that is is more important to spend the rest of your life with someone that you love rather than someone that just has a lot of money. I feel this because if you marry just for love then there would be affairs and cheating and just no caring or anything between the people. Also there would probably be a lot of fighting going on in disagreements and such things like that. A good example of this is the show basketball wives on mtv, this is a show about NBA players wifes that think they are always right and then they divorce their husbands and take some money and talk all big and everything because oh their problems are over. If people would just marry for love then the couple wold be able to live happily together through anything and everything that came their way.
Gallantry (noun) - courageous behavior- pg. 76
ReplyDeletemanifold (adjective) - many and various - pg. 94
I think it is more important to spend the rest of your life with someone that you love. Money is only important if you make it important. I think every relationship needs to have two people who are inlove with eachother otherwise it is pointless to be together. You would'nt want to spend the rest of your life with someone you don't love and you definently don't want to marry someone just for their money.
Nicole

I think that if you had to spend the rest of our life with someone who should marry someone who love and enjoy spending time with. Even if you together are rich that won't buy you happiness. If you don't get along it can cause issues.
Lacey
ReplyDeletecivilities-75-noun-formal courtesy or politeness in behavior or speech
disinclination-75-noun-lack of enthusiasm
*I would only marry for love. If a person doesn't love the other person how would you be able to stand living with them for the rest of their lives? I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Back then, money was important and I'm sure many men and women put up with people they didn't love because of that factor. Also, I don't see how a marriage can last in these times without love. There are a lot of young people now who get married because they have children, but then it doesn't work out because there is no love.
Jenna Van Dyke
ReplyDeletedisinclination –noun - unwillingness - pg 75
taciturn –adjective - inclined to silence; reserved in speech - pg 79
I think it is more important to spend it with someone you love because you will be much happier. If you just go for the money then you will never agree, just like how Mrs. and Mr. Bennet are in the book. Also if you go for love then you would be rich in family.
Jackie M
ReplyDelete-page 74- veracity-noun- conformity to facts; accuracy
-page 76- soliciting-verb- ask for or try to obtain (something) from someone
I think that it would be more important to spend the rest of your life with someone you love. Wealth isn't everything and money can't buy you the happiness you want. A relationship without love and happiness would be full of hatred and unhappiness. Love is important to have because that is what makes a relationship and that is how relationships last. When two people are in a relationship and in love nothing can break their relationship up.
desirous (adj) pg 80 - Having or expressing desire; desiring
ReplyDeleteinterpose(verb) pg 99 - to place between; cause to intervene
I believe it is way more important to spend the rest of your life with the one you love. People who marry for only money are never truly happy or satisfied. These people go into a marriage with their minds set on one thing and one thing only, money, and money can not buy you happiness. When you go into marriage with a deep connection to that other person nothing else matters in your eyes but spending the rest of your life with that perfect match. Love is key to a successful marriage.
John Martinmaas
ReplyDeleteveracity- conformity to facts; accuracy
disinclination- unwillingness
I think spending the rest of my life with some one I love then with some one that is rich. I rather have that, because money means nothing to me at all.
gallantry - noun - polite attention or respect given by men to women
ReplyDeletequadrille - noun - a square dance performed by four couples
I think that it is more important to spend your life with someone you love then with someone just for the money. If you marry for money you will not be happy, because money cant buy happiness and money cant buy love. marrying someone for there money is stupid cause the money will run out eventually and then your stuck with someone you dont love. If you marry someone you love you will be happy for the rest of your life. This is because if it is true love that love will always be there even when you dont have any money or your going through tough times. That is the main reason love is better then Money.
